Confidence

Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if everyone was confident about everything all the time?

Very scary.

I am not at all confident that it would help anyone.

Having the right measure of confidence in proportion to your ability and the level of challenge you are tackling is probably a lot more useful, and safer, than being universally confident in all situations.

When people lack confidence in their ability, in spite of the fact that they are actually capable of dealing with the challenge they are confronting, it is always because of the way they are thinking. There is no such thing as a confident or an ‘un-confident’ person or personality.

Whatever your beliefs about confidence, if you want to feel more confident in any given situation, I am always happy to help, providing you can back it up with the necessary skills, safely and consistently! And yes, I will tell you if you are overdoing it too, although most people who are over-confident tend not to consult with therapists and coaches. At least, not until they are in hospital or prison.
